Day 1: Duomo and Uffizi
Start around the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, then make the Uffizi your main museum block. Continue toward Ponte Vecchio and Oltrarno.
Day 2: Accademia and the city
Use the morning for the Accademia if Michelangelo's David is a priority, then slow down around Santa Croce, markets and gardens.
When to add Tuscany
Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Pisa deserve a separate day. Add Tuscany on day three instead of taking a Florence day away.
